The only real way they can do stop people is to watch peoples fifa coins profit per day and somehow flag or cap people who make too much in a day, which would again piss off Traders.
When its free to make a new PS4 account and start a new FUT account banning them does nothing but inconvience them for 10 minutes. Most of the large sites buy large chunks of PS4/Xbox logins anyways from people who do nothing but make accounts and sell them bulk to these cheating sites.
I am serious, why do you think almost all online Console games have serial codes now? And it does matter to them because as i said buying it for $25 used at gamestop means they got $0. If they had to go to Walmart or Target or something to buy it new than thats $60 more in the developers pockets.
They also hate(d) places like Blockbuster that rented their games for a few dollars, because back in the day every kid just went out and rented Nintendo and Genesis games and took them back a few days later instead of buying the games.
The company shouldn't care about these people because they aren't EA customers. EA's priority should be delivering the best possible product to the people who give them money. I generally don't like DRM stuff but I think in this situation there is actually a really good reason to use the technology.
Look at PC which normally has about 200-300k transfers going at any given time. Compared to the couple million (maybe 2-3 I think my friend said?) on xbox or PS. While I definitely agree it's a good system and keeps prices regular, it also is unfortunate that to get the coin for some of these top tier players will take about half a year of just winning matches non-stop.
As my favorite youtuber, Zweback, (who is still sponsored by some coin seller) said, they need to make it so you can earn more fifa 16 coins to get these players or give you better odds in packs. Now I don't mean just flooding the game with coins, but more coins per win would be a great solution to help legitimate players get the cards they need. Or give packs better odds of giving actual upgrades rather than steaming piles of dog doodoo. Seeing a non-shiny bronze in a 7500 gold pack is one of the most disheartening feelings and I curse the game code that decided a non-shiny bronze should be in that pack.
